I started the mission by downloading and updating the firmware for the drone, remote, and gimbal. I also calibrated the compass, gyroscope and gimbal.
I conducted the mission in “Beginner” mode. Used one touch take off. I appreciated the fact that it hovered when I wasn’t touching the controls. The controls were quite responsive and I was able to take some pictures. The RTH feature is quite convenient.
The initial settings were annoyingly limited. Next flight I’ll play with the settings and get some additional altitude and distance.
The only mishap on this mission was flying into a tree. I immediately shut it down and retrieved it. No damage was done to the drone or the tree.
