2nd Flight

2nd Training Flight

1/7/20251 min read

This was just another familiarization flight. Continued in beginner mode and working to get used to the controls. Remembering which way the drone is oriented, switching from camera view to line of site. Still getting familiar with the drones movements and responsiveness.

I chose the back yard this time because of the number of obstacles. And while I mostly flew above everything, I did get a chance to play in and around the obstacles. This was were I once again ended up in a tree. Or should I say, a Jasmine bush. Fortunately there was no damage. Again.

I did have one issue with the second battery. It appears as though it didn't charge. I cut this flight short and attempted to recharge the dead battery. It refused to charge in the hub. However, I attempted to charge it while in the drone and it appears to be charging normally now. We will see what happens on our next flight.

Overall, this was a rather uneventful flight. Spent a full 17 minutes in the air. Probably could have gotten more, but I didn't want to take the chance of it going into RTH mode and running into one of the palm trees. Thinking I may try to catch the sunrise tomorrow.
